I waited 3 hours for this shot until sunset, just so I can see the possum awake. My back hurts now from standing. But worth it. I love you possum

My front fence is a possum highway, to the point that my daughter's girls' group (30-odd tween and younger girls) turned up on Friday to one in the tree out the front.
10 minutes later, and lots of squees at the possum and my fish tank, they left 😆

@crimsonbutterfly Right. I can't stand that cynical nonsense that some animals are undesirable and I'm staggered by the arrogance that we need to "control" these animals by, at best, depriving them of habitat or, at worst, harming them.

My dogs cornered one last night on our deck and were like “What the hell is that!?” No harm was done to the possum or the dogs. They couldn’t figure the thing out. 🤣

Theyre both marsupials, but not related to each other.
