The gang gang was listed as ENDANGERED after the Black Saturday bushfires of 2019. The population hasnt recovered to the point that even in their stronghold, ACT, they are becoming rarer and rarer.

@crimsonbutterfly Much less frequent than before 2019 but we still see these characters beyond our back fence. Bloody council cut down the female allocasuarinas along the fire trail so now we never see Glossy Blacks anymore. Bastiges.
