@crimsonbutterfly hehehe, I wasn't intending it that way, but it works 😆
@crimsonbutterfly@vernissage.photos Nice water drop on this guys beak. Male Gang-Gang cockatoo. THE MOST Adorable call. Like a rusty gate being opened.

@esskay@holos.social too kind! Theyre amazing birds. And by far, my favourite. I have gang gang earrings 🤣 I will print ganggang photos Ive taken so our house is full of them lol
@crimsonbutterfly@vernissage.photos I wish I had the reference, but I remember reading on Twitter in The Before Times (pre-elon) that Gang-Gangs are the closest relation to Galahs. Very similar in size, much smaller than nearly all other cockies in Oz. If you have (noxious weed I know) Hawthorne trees/bushes, they'll adopt you straight away!
@crimsonbutterfly@vernissage.photos For my laptops background, I have a pic of a male Gang-Gang and a Pink (Maj Mitchell) cockatoo perching on a brach and looking at each other, yakking and obviously PLOTTING NAUGHTINESS, because Cocky. 😂

@crimsonbutterfly I just wanted to thank you for all the bird posts with such wonderful photos! Your birds are totally different from the ones around my part of the world, and it's a delight to see them pop up in my timeline.

@jeridansky@sfba.social Im glad to know! Hope youre also enjoying your birds in your part of the world

@crimsonbutterfly I am, indeed! They aren't as colorful as yours, but they're still cool.

@crimsonbutterfly Blushing, because someone called bird cute.
