A sweeping panoramic view captures the freedom of the high ridge between the Tyrnauer Alm and the Rote Wand. A faint path cuts through the tall, sun-lit grass, leading the eye along the spine of the mountain. To the left, the ground drops away into a thick, dark forest of evergreens, while the right side remains an open, rolling meadow. In the distance, a sea of blue mountain peaks fades into the horizon, broken only by a single, fluffy white cloud drifting in the bright blue sky.

Added Info: This type of trail is known as a "Gratwanderung" (ridge hike). Walking along the spine of the mountain offers the best of both worlds: the safety of the grassy slope on one side and the dramatic, airy views down into the valley on the other. That solitary cloud is a classic sign of stable high-pressure weather—perfect conditions for tackling the exposed sections of the Rote Wand.

Another beautiful panoramic view of the Tyrnauer Alm, between the Almhütte and the Rote Wand.
