Arwen, the beautiful chocolate Labrador, and Bas, the little long-haired black-and-tan dachshund, sit together beneath a wooden roadside crucifix in the forests near Brandlucken, Steiermark, Austria. Arwen sits proudly with her tongue out, relaxed and happy, while Bas looks up with a gentle, curious expression. Behind them rises a traditional Austrian Wegkreuz or Waldkreuz—a small wooden shelter with a carved figure of Jesus on the cross, “INRI” above His head, and bright pink geraniums arranged on the tiny balcony. These shrines are common in rural Austria, placed along hiking paths, crossroads, and rest spots as symbols of faith, protection, and gratitude, offering walkers a quiet moment of reflection. The scene is framed by tall, straight pine trees filtering soft mountain light. A wooden bench stands to the right, inviting rest. Together, the dogs, the forest, and the crucifix create a peaceful, heartfelt memory of your walk through the Styrian hills.

Going through some of my vacation pictures, this one from July 31st 2022, while trying to add more descriptions to my pix on Flickr...
So well, I thought I would share this nice one of Arwen and Bas.
