Back
A few bluebell plants are in the middle of the flame, with light purple petals and yellow stamens. The foremost bluebell (focused on) has three flowers, with one slightly pointing to the left, another pointing to the right (stamens not visible) and another pointing in the direction the camera is looking. All are drooping downwards, as expected.

There are two more plants in the frame; one in the bottom right, mostly cut off with its flowers still visible, out of focus. Another is right behind the foremost bluebell (also out of focus) and has several flowers blooming from the stem.

In the background there is general woodland foliage, and some grass.

Bluebells - Canon EOS 30D, 1/2500sec f5.6

One of Our EOS 30D test photos from today. It turns out that a camera from 2006 is not useless. Not in the slightest.

@vaelfonia Awesome!

Could not agree more. My favourite DSLR is the Sony A100 from the same year, which I still too use today.

@LightTheUnicorn@lighttheunicorn.horse We are looking to purchase a Sony DSLR at some point this year, and the A100 does interest Us. Mainly because of the CCD sensor and the abundance of A-mount glass available!

@vaelfonia There is so much cool (and cheap!) A mount glass around. Very versatile mount that’s been around eons.

The lenses work equally as good across A-mount Minolta film SLRs, too.

I’ve also had a lot of fun with the A390. Not great in low light, but a pretty high resolution CCD and interesting camera nonetheless that you can find for pennies sometimes.
