Peekaboo! C. minimus finally made its first appearance in one of my main zones.
Unfortunately, nearly all areas currently are being dominated by less than a handful of tall grasses due to the sudden lack of mowing that always used to be quite radical. Not only my eyes & nose don't tolerate this grass dominance; most insects also have declined sharply while some others disappeared entirely or haven't even made its usual spring appearances.

It should be mentioned that the "sudden disappearance" of several species has been occuring every May so far, even affecting those producing just one generation within a given season. Due to the grass dominance, now claiming an area of the size of an average monoculture, it even may be worsened as they now cover most of the remaining nectar plants.
What's different this year, however, is the complete absence of E. tages, despite of the previous abundance of its preferred plants.
