Collage-style photograph showing a vibrant display of Venetian carnival masks inside a small artisan shop in Venice, Italy. The main panel on the left reveals an entire wall covered with masks of varying shapes, colors, and expressions: elaborate sun and moon faces with metallic gold or silver finishes, traditional Bauta and Volto masks, feathered designs with dramatic black or colorful plumes, and whimsical characters reminiscent of Commedia dell’Arte, including jesters with curved horns and checkered patterns. The masks hang closely together, creating a dense tapestry of craftsmanship. On the right, a vertical strip of smaller close-up images highlights the fine details—glittering surfaces, painted smiles, sculpted faces, and ornate feather arrangements. The overall tone is warm and slightly surreal, with pink and purple lighting giving the scene a dreamy, theatrical quality. These masks reflect Venice’s centuries-old tradition of Carnevale artistry, where anonymity and fantasy come alive through elaborate costume and design.

An edited image of a pix I took while we visited one of the many little shops in Venice. There were so many, colorful, masks. They inspired me to make this edit of it, several years ago.
