Black-and-white panoramic photograph of Paris, taken in February 2004 from the observatory level of the Eiffel Tower. The image, scanned and edited from a 35mm negative, has a soft, slightly grainy texture and a darkened vignette around the edges that gives it a vintage, atmospheric feel. At the center and stretching across the frame lies the historic heart of the city: the densely packed rooftops and ornate façades of the Île de la Cité. To the right, rising unmistakably above the surrounding buildings, stands the twin-towered western façade of Notre-Dame Cathedral, its iconic rose window faintly visible despite the monochrome tones. Further left are other recognizable historic structures, including the long, elegant buildings of the Palais de Justice and the Hôtel-Dieu. In the far background, the city fades into a hazy blur, emphasizing depth and the sheer scale of Paris. In the bottom right corner, the handwritten text “Île de la Cité” is added as part of the edit.

In February 2004, my mum and I went to Paris for a few days. We didn't have the best weather when visiting Tour Eiffel. But with my simple 35mm Minolta, I tried to get some snaps. A long time ago, I tried to scan some of the negatives.
I edited this one and I think it looked OK enough. 😇 So I'm sharing it here now. 😉
